Service Desk Analyst - 6-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • You will be responsible for supporting internal employees with all IT support issues and ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks
  • You will be receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user requests and incidents
  • You will provide problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools and includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all end user hardware, software and equipment to ensure optimal technology performance
  • You will troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, by email and remotely) in a timely fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required
  • You will provide Incident management and resolution – Prioritize, assess, resolve or escalate software and hardware technology issues
  • You will prioritize, assess and complete business requests in a timely manner
  • You will provide asset tracking and maintenance – Itemize, stock and label corporate hardware in a database to assist with tracking of company assets
  • Install, image, update and maintain company systems
  • You will be expected to provide after hours On Call support – Being available during off hours on a rotating shift to address urgent incidents and monitor vital infrastructure to maintain functionality

About You

  • College or University Technology Program Diploma or Degree
  • 2-4 years prior related work experience in the Information Technology field
  • You will have experience supporting the entire Microsoft suite of products, as well as peripherals, laptops/desktops, basic network connectivity, mobile devises, etc.
  • Experience with ITIL Foundations, MCSE, HDI are desired but not required
  • You must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You must have strong customer service skills
