About the Opportunity
Finance Transformation

• Lead the various phases of finance transformation projects (RPA initiatives, ERP system enhancements, and CPM consolidation tool enhancements) including scoping & requirements definition, design & build, and testing & implementation
• Work with sector finance teams and decision makers, technology team, and end users to define data and reporting requirements, and design solutions that will meet their needs
• Define and lead project teams comprising of sector finance team members and technology team members to deliver on business requirements
• Validate the quality of data and reporting solutions through UAT testing; identify and raise issues that arise from UAT testing to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, and own resolutions
• Manage documentation of finance operations and reporting processes, procedures, and controls, analyze sector to sector procedural inconsistencies, and recommend process improvements
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Reporting – Fund reporting, investment property reporting and internal management reporting

• Prepare/review financial statements and investor reporting prepared in accordance with US GAAP – Investment Company Accounting and IFRS
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial and operating results of the business and support preparation of quarterly results presentation to the Senior Management team
• Prepare/review quarterly reporting deliverables, including board meeting materials
• Manage the external audit and tax reporting process with big 4 firms

Financial, Planning & Analysis

• Review valuation models
• Work with asset management team to develop an annual budget as well as a 5-year business plan
• Assist with regular forecasting/reforecasting and related analytics
• Monitor liquidity and assess capital needs for the business

Team Training & Development

• Review work of team members and provide feedback for improvement
• Monitor and analyze team performance to achieve performance targets
• Lead, coach, develop and evaluate team members

About You

• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA preferred)
• At least 5+ years of progressive work experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
• Experience in effectively managing a team and overseeing the execution of various work streams and multiple deliverables
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience in accounting / consolidation systems and tools (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, Hyperion, OneStream, Power BI, Anaplan, Cognos TM1, SQL, etc.) and adaptability with learning new applications
• Experience in real estate and/or working experience in industry is an asset

Salary Range
$115,000 - $120,000/year
