About the Opportunity
Client Administration Services
- Responsibility for the timely and accurate processing of premium and volume provided by US, Canadian and International clients;
- Validate adequacy of premium provided by clients per treaty terms, including accuracy of inforce ceded and rates applied;
- Identify trends and variances, complete deep dives on client and interface with clients to ensure accurate premium billed;
- Integrate new technology, tools (including Business Intelligence) and processes into the Client Administration function through coaching, training and initiatives to gain efficiencies, increased insight into clients and better support internal partners.
- Analyze and report on premium and related transactions, including development of forecasts / accruals, and providing explanations for trends and variances;
- Resolve reporting issues, including updating internal calculations when required and client follow-up;
- Oversee Experience rated refund positions and Funds Withheld positions, including development of forecasts / accruals, analysis and reporting, and providing explanations for trends and variances;
- Maintain and monitor the Administration KPI report;
- Present results to Finance department in support of quarterly financial reporting;
- Highlight premium and inforce issues and opportunities to senior management on an ongoing basis;
- Assist with client audits as needed.
- Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to drive improvements in the completeness, accuracy, efficiency and usefulness of client provided data.
- Projects and Initiatives
- Lead and / or contribute to projects as required by management in support of the Division’s strategy and operational plan.
- Lead, support, develop and coach a team of professionals so that they can better support the evolving mandate of the Administration function, with a greater focus on analysis, insight and recovery.
About You
- The successful candidate will have over 5 years of experience in data analysis or financial analysis and reporting.
- Accounting designation (CPA) is required;
- Life reinsurance experience is preferred;
- Experience supervising a team in achieving departmental or project objectives;
- Experience managing financial operations in a client facing role;
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining data analysis systems;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail including advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, SQL and Tableau;
- Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at once and self-motivated;
- Ability to collaborate with diverse skill sets across multiple functions of the business;
- Ability to communicate concisely and effectively with senior management;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary Range
$110,000 - $150,000/year
