About the Opportunity

• Oversee and manage month-end and year-end financial reporting close processes for both US and Canadian operations
• Perform monthly GL postings and reconciliations to ensure accuracy on financial reporting and to identify and correct any unusual items
• Monitor and oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions, while providing leadership and support to staff
• Monitor weekly/monthly cash flows
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements under IFRS and be a point of contact with external auditors to compile and finalize the annual financial package
• Provide support to external tax advisors in the preparation of yearly tax returns
• Analyze and interpret month-end financial reporting package metrics and trends, and be able to communicate and provide recommendations to the senior management team
• Responsible for monthly payroll tax remittances and oversight of tax compliance
• Provide resolutions on accounting and/or operational issues from operations team in all required areas
• Engage in internal control process improvements and system enhancement
• Assist in all tasks and ad hoc projects when needed

About You

• CPA designation or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Controller role
• Experience working with direct reports and leading a team
• Solid experience with Quickbooks and ADP is an asset
• Advanced Excel is required

Salary Range
$125,000-$135,000/year
