About the Opportunity

• Lead review engagements for the company’s subsidiaries on a quarterly basis related to revenue recognition, IT framework compliance, and risk control matrix (RCM) assessments (and other ad hoc projects, as required).
• Assist the company’s Internal Audit function with their coordination of Portfolio RCM audits, annual Payroll reviews, and post-close integration support.
• Coordinate with the company’s subsidiaries during quarterly and annual financial closes: perform analytical review; ensure financial accuracy; help consolidate financial checklists; and help with technical accounting topics (as needed).
• Act as the key contact for the company during external audit quarterly reviews and annual audit, communicating all required documentation to the subsidiaries to provide in a timely manner.
• Assist with special projects including pricing studies, variance analysis, and various other initiatives focused on driving strengthened controls and oversight.
• Liaise with the Head Office during quarterly and annual financial closes: analytical review of P&L + balance sheet; prepare the company’s regulatory required documentation; and provide disclosure requirements.
• Assist the subsidiaries with complex accounting around critical accounting estimates such as acquisition accounting, foreign operations reporting, and software revenue recognition.

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal/external audit or equivalent finance/accounting role.
• In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies, control frameworks, risk management practices, accounting policies, and applications under IFRS.
• Ability to understand business processes and their risk implications, analyze complex situations, reach appropriate conclusions, and make value-added and practical recommendations.
• Experience working in a collaborative manner with senior management to establish a high-level of credibility and build professional relationships with business unit management.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues.
• Ability to enter a new environment and understand the business and accounting dynamic with minimal guidance.

Salary Range
$85,000 to $90,000/year
