About the Opportunity
Financial Reporting
- Manage group financial reporting functions
- Prepare quarterly group consolidation and reporting package
- Prepare quarterly financial statements with note disclosure and MD&A
- Assist with complex accounting matters
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and internal controls
- Responsible for group accounting functions (at corporate and sites)
- Responsible for month-end full accounting cycle
- Payroll review and processing
- Liaise with payroll service provider on regular basis on payroll matters
- Administrator for employee benefit. Liaise with benefit provider on regular basis on benefit matters
- Quarterly GST/HST returns
- Annual payroll remittance reconciliation
- Oversee tax compliance matters (USA and Canada)
- Review expense reports
- Oversee invoice processing
- Payment management
- Monthly cashflow reconciliation
- Daily monitoring of cash balance and tracking of payments
- Preparation of quarterly forecast and annual budget
- FP&A including monthly variance analysis
- Assist in office administration duties
- Assist with HR related matters including onboarding and offboarding
- Assist with IT related matters including managing external IT service provider
- As requested by the CEO and CFO
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting related program
- CPA designation
- Mining experience preferred
- Public company experience preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Independent and reliable
Salary Range
$150,000 - $180,000/year
