Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is a leading North American provider of energy monitoring and management solutions. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will be go-to person for special projects requiring multi-disciplinary analysis

About the Opportunity 

• Deliver monthly sales reporting and analysis and calculate quarterly sales commissions to drive sales growth  
• Analyze profitability of lines of businesses, service offerings, customer contracts and other business opportunities, including designing and implementing new reporting processes  
• Support energy program settlements through detailed review  
• Prepare complex accounting entries and analysis related to energy settlements, software development, intercompany transactions, goodwill and more  
• Support the annual corporate budgeting process and monthly forecast updates, working directly with the Leadership Team  
• Take a leading role in the administration of software used for data collection, including finance, time tracking and sales systems (QuickBooks, Journyx, Salesforce)  
• Leverage tools, including Power BI, to turn data into insight, tracking financial and operational metrics  
• Maintain and develop tools to support Business Development, including internal Excel-based templates for project quotes and margin analysis as well as customer facing sales tools  
• Research new business opportunities and support/coordinate related administrative processes, such as financial due diligence for M&A opportunities  
• Analyze and document processes across the company, with a focus on continuous improvement, and recommend and implement process improvements  
• Complete ad-hoc financial analysis and tool development to support all areas of the business  
• Support and lead special projects 

About You 

• CPA Designation (min. Must be enrolled) 
• 3 – 5 years' experience in a FP&A Capacity (ie. Financial Analyst) 
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot or similar tools 
• Experience developing formal reports, models and presentations that are professional and tailored to users needs 

Salary Range 

$85,000- $90,000/year
