About the Opportunity

We are privately held owner operated multi facility manufacturing company in the Richmond Hill area. Currently we seeking a dynamic outgoing Payroll Administrator – HR Generalist who is eager to grow within our organization. The successful incumbent will play a key role in building on a great employment culture

  • Payroll processes for a mid sized company
  • Actively liase with the CFO and upper management on internal relations, legal compliance of applicable employment laws as well as all administrative tasks for onboarding and payroll and benefits administration
  • Answering employee and management questions about payroll related matters
  • maintaining employee records
  • Managing, collecting and reviewing time sheets from multiple locations
  • Liaising with plant managers on time sheet matters
  • Maintaining vacation records
  • Recording new hires, merit increases, tracking vacation and sick days
  • Providing new employees with relevant information packets, company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, explaining and obtaining signatures for benefit programs
  • Preparing and issuing earnings statements, issuing paystubs, managing direct deposits and maintaining employee records and ultimately manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner

About You

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, finance or accounting preferred or related field, minimum 3 years experience in Payroll Administration
  • CHRP an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
  • Outstanding skills in organizing, prioritizing, scheduling
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail with strong initiative
  • A proven track record in managing confidentiality, proven personal ethics and integrity
  • Proven ability to create and work in a team-oriented multi-cultural environment, who brings a level of maturity and positivity to their work
  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or relevant role
  • Thorough knowledge of employment and related legislation eg. Employment Standards Act
  • French as a Second Language an asset


$60,000 - $75,000/year
