About the Opportunity

• Advise on technical accounting issues and ensure appropriate application of principles which includes preparing technical memos
• Review, interpret and apply new technical regulations
• Prepare research on technical accounting standards and advise accordingly
• Provide training to other staff members and advise on the appropriate application of regulations
• Manage schedule for all reporting and filing deadlines
• Collaborating with Internal Audit, implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with various SOX 404 control requirements
• Prepare commentary for monthly financial reporting package(s) delivered to various end stakeholders, Private Equity Owners, Audit Committee, Lenders, Internal Management
• Review internal controls and advice on the appropriate implementation of those controls. This includes training and advising key staff members

About You

• Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA, CMA)
• Technical expertise related to US GAAP and SEC financial reporting and SOX experience
• IFRS experience preferred
