Accounts Payable Clerk - 3 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Process invoices by performing tasks, such as matching and verifying payment amounts
  • Ensure supplier invoices have been properly approved for payment in accordance with a matrix of signing authorities
  • Accurate and efficient data input adhering to deadlines/timelines
  • Complete any required investigation into backup documents, etc
  • Accurately file all processed invoices and matching payment documentation to meet filing standards
  • Provide other administrative functions as directed by supervisor

About You

  • College degree in Accounting or a combination of relevant work experience and education
  • General understanding of basic accounting knowledge coupled with prior experience working in Accounts Payable is preferred
  • Working experience with JD Edwards is a strong asset, large ERP experience is essential
  • Good computer skills with experience in MS Office, especially Word and Excel and any accounting packages
  • Data entry experience with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good investigative and reconciliation skills
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining well organized

Pay Rate

$20 - $21/hour
