Accounts Payable Clerk
About the Opportunity
- Full cycle AP
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal requirements
- Manage prepaid expenses on a monthly and yearly schedule
- Manage accounts payable, and create and reconcile AP aging reports
- Assist with ISO accounting, billing, and auditing procedures
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations
- Ensure to take advantage of any and all discount or rebate plans
- Responsible for monthly P&L statements
- Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Process purchase orders in a timely manner
- Ensure purchase orders match invoices and must be verified to customer’s quote and/or approved budget on an ongoing basis
- Ensure any and all payments have the approval stamp and appropriate signatures of approval
- Ensure appropriate GLs are used
- Match work orders, packing slips, etc
- Communicate with vendors to solve problems that may arise
- Process all AP filing
- Perform other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
About You
- 3-5 years experience full cycle AP
- Accpac is an asset
- Friendly but heads down, can work autonomously, working with strong personalities, strong communication skills, and organized
Salary
$45,000 - $50,000/year
