Technical Systems Analyst, PeopleSoft HRIS (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Work with the HRIS team to help resolve problems in the HR / Payroll application
• Provide data statistics and write reports for internal customers and/or team members
• Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines as part of an ongoing improvement exercise
• Analyze and assess existing business systems processes and procedures to identify process improvement opportunities
• Create or update programs and applications according to specifications
• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
• Develop new programs and applications to create efficiencies in current processes
• Design and monitor software tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
• Create appropriate Change Management processes for Production changes
• Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments
• Assist in defining project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
• Strong SQL Development work
  • Their production support is dependent on data so ensure that data integrity is top of mind
  • Find ways to pull data out of the application in the most efficient way possible
  • Analyze all internal system and data to understand how things are flowing, accuracy of data, mining and output, what is the required output and what is actual, adjust the logic to fix any gaps, etc.
  • Write SQL’s functions, queries, building logic, creating smart reports, integrations, etc.
• Manage migration of new software programs across different phases of the project (DEV to UAT)
• Advise on technical issues involving configuration, development, integration
• Liaise within the team for efficient implementation of software fixes, new software products or systems and for resolution of any issues
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

About You

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 5+ years of PeopleSoft Development, Support and Analysis experience
• Strong SQL/ Query Knowledge
• PeopleSoft HCM Knowledge (data structure), and experience with Core HR, Time & Labor and NA Payroll
• Experience working with a highly customized PeopleSoft environment would be helpful
• Change Management experience is strongly desired but not required
• Familiarity with data quality and governance issues and requirements
• Ability to conduct research into production issues
• Exceptional attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies & processes
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to apply and follow Agile project management principles and tasks
• Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment
• Just be open minded to change and learning new processes or technologies
• Love to learn and be a positive member of the team, focusing on solutions not problems
