Senior Accountant (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Full cycle Accounting – GL journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, assist with AP & AR
• Manage cash flow schedule and work collaboratively with both Canadian & US Shared Service partners
• Assist Payroll Lead with remittances related to WSIB, EHT, HST report as required
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts (inc. payroll, bank & intercompany)
• Expense management and reporting
• Expected to actively participate in Integration activities, providing input and process mapping toward the development of policies and procedures
• Participate in the budget/forecast/year-end audit process
• Perform other duties/ad-hoc duties as required
• Partner with key business leaders to review their results and provide insight/guidance
• Ad hoc requests

About You

• CPA Designation – completed or working towards
• 3-5 years of experience
• Experience with SAGE full cycle ERP Accounting System and Concur expense system is an asset
• IFRS or CDN GAAP
• Strong accounting background, preferably experience in controls (SOX)
• Self-starter with ability to perform journal entries and account reconciliations
• Shows ability to problem solve with little guidance
• Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
• Strong technical skills particularly in the use of MS Office, Excel intermediate or advanced
• Detail oriented and ability to work under tight timelines
• Excellent organizational skills and has the ability to multitask
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organization
• Highly motivated personality with customer service focus
• Bilingual in French is a plus

Pay Rate

$35/hour
