Manager FP&A (Commercial Analysis) - 3 Month Contract to Permanent

Our client has an urgent requirement for a Manager FP&A  - 3 months contract to full time.

About the Opportunity

  • Delivery of Profit & Loss, Volume, Advertising & Promotion (A&P), On-Premise and Budget tracking to internal stakeholders
  • Management of A&P monitoring, analysis, and month-end processes
  • Support FP&A team in financial cycles (budget, forecasting)
  • Liaising with key business partners to leverage Trade Promotion Management tool to deliver deeper analytics for improved A&P efficiency and ROI
  • Deliver financial analysis/decision support to Sales and Marketing
  • Lead initiatives on A&P optimization and develop best practices for analysis of Commercial profitability through ownership of Trade Promotion Management system (Sales and Marketing)
  • Develop reporting and analytical KPI metrics/scorecard for the effective measurement and monitoring of A&P spend
  • Develop best practices for analysis of Customer Profitability
  • Provide strategic and financial leadership to the Commercial and Finance teams regarding opportunistic initiatives, resource allocation opportunities and trade promotion effectiveness and fund management leveraging advanced analytics
  • Act as Commercial Finance lead on cross-functional teams to drive successful implementation of key strategic initiatives i.e. acquisitions, productivity, go-to-market and pricing strategies
  • Manage and integrate Business Intelligence Analysts with broader Finance team
  • Prepare analyses, sales promotion calculations, customer forecasts, brand reports and customer P&L while providing business analytics and insights for strategic decision making (through DRM/S&OP/CBP)
  • Monitor competitive market activity, market dynamics, regulatory changes, competition and industry developments and proactively assess their impact on profitability
  • Prepare category reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve position. Develop and recommend strategy up to date with the performance, competitive landscape and resources available
  • Compile sales statistics and provide timely reporting on business activity

About You

  • Team oriented, highly collaborative, and able to build cross-functional relationships
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Undergraduate degree in business/commerce
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) required
  • Minimum 5 Years Finance experience required ideally in sales finance or financial planning and analysis
  • Experience with leading a multi-person team is a plus
  • Preferably in CPG business
  • Previous industry experience would be an asset
  • Previous experience with Essbase/Smartview, Hyperion, Trade Promotion Management system and Oracle Enterprise reporting systems would be an asset

Pay Rate

$50/hour
