Director of Technology (Closed)

About the Company   

Our client is collection of companies in North America, looking to hire a Director of Technology to manage the internal IT group of 10-20 people. 

About the Opportunity 

• This is a director position – managing both Infrastructure and Application areas (heavier on Infrastructure).  

• Most applications are either on-prem or cloud off the-shelf applications  

• We are looking for a strong leader who is a great communicator, who can lead the team and drive the technology solutions for the organization 

About You 

• Strong experience in progressive IT positions – current IT environment management experience – infrastructure with some application management 

• Strong leadership experience (midsize teams) 

• PROVEN current hands-on experience with managing IT Infrastructure, cybersecurity, BCP/DR, M365, cloud, etc 

• PROVEN experience with delivering projects (upgrades, implementations, business cases, research, support, requirements gathering, vendor selection/management, deployment, architecture, etc) 

• IT Strategy, budgeting, road mapping, risk/compliance experience 

• Vendor management and project delivery track record (on time, delivering on promises/expectations) 

• Coming from smaller/midsize agile/entrepreneurial/'messy' orgs 

• Great communication skills – reporting to VP of IT and working with the Businesses, need a good listener and good solutioning skills 

• Ability to commute to northeast GTA office 3+ days per week with some travel outside of Canada to other offices 

Bonus Items: 

• Experience with M&A/Acquisitions is a plus 

• Warehousing/manufacturing/logistics industry experience

Salary Range 

$150,000/year
