They are looking for a Director of Finance, Finance Transformation who will work closely with each of the sector finance teams and technology teams to define data and reporting requirements, design solutions that will meet their needs, and drive the implementation of system enhancements and new/improved reporting processes.

About the Opportunity
Finance Transformation

• Liaise with sector finance teams and technology teams within to prioritize process improvement and system enhancement initiatives. Align finance transformation strategy milestones with real estate management team’s workstreams, deliverables, and timelines
• Review the documentation of finance operations and reporting processes, procedures, and controls, analyze sector to sector procedural inconsistencies, and provide recommendations for process improvement
• Lead the various phases of finance transformation projects including scoping & requirements definition, design & build, and testing & implementation
• Work with sector finance teams and decision makers, technology team, and end users to define data and reporting requirements, and design solutions that will meet their needs
• Define and lead project teams comprising of sector finance team members and technology team members to deliver on business requirements
• Validate the quality of data and reporting solutions through UAT testing; identify and raise issues that arise from UAT testing to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, and own issues to resolution
• Other duties and special projects as assigned

Reporting – Global corporate management entities reporting

• Manage the team to prepare and analyze consolidated financial and operating results of global real estate management business and support preparation of quarterly results presentation to senior management team
• Provide ad hoc analysis including variance analysis of operating results of global real estate management business

Team Management

• Managing rotational program team comprising of 1-2 finance professionals
• Train, mentor and motivate a team of 1-2 finance professionals
• Review work of team members and provide feedback for improvement
• Monitor and analyze team performance to achieve performance target
• Lead, coach, develop and evaluate team members

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• At least 7+ years of progressive work experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience; experience in real estate is considered an asset
• Proven track record in process improvement within a finance department
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring a finance team
• Experience in accounting / consolidation systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Cognos TM1, SQL, OneStream, etc.) and adaptability with learning new applications
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Understanding and interest in real estate and financial markets

Salary
$140,000 - $160,000/year
