Business Systems Manager (Closed)

About the Company  

Our client is a lumber building company and they are looking to hire an IT ERP Manager in the Lumber/Building/Construction industry.

About the Opportunity

• The company currently has their IT outsourced completely to an ISP called ITWorks
• They are embarking on a large ERP implementation (implementing ContractERP which is based on MS Dynamics D365)
• This ERP will run everything for the company (e.g., financials, logistics, inventory management, estimation/costing, manufacturing/mills will have it on tablets onsite, etc) and will handle integration/API connections to their suppliers and customers (e.g., EDI to HomeDepot, etc)
• We are looking for a seasoned technology professional who is coming out of construction (home builder / construction) or manufacturing companies with strong experience with ERP implementations
• We need someone with strong business knowledge of the ERP processes and experience implementing and managing ERP solutions internally, including user training, reinforcing new processes, making sure that the business adopts the ERP (e.g., why do we need a new system? the old 20-year-old system works just 'fine'), making sure that the ERP vendor implements everything according to requirements
• The bonus item will be someone with experience managing IT for a company (e.g., infrastructure, software, cyber, etc) - then this person can also run the IT vendor and make sure they are doing what they are supposed to, etc

About You

• Experience in construction/building/manufacturing industries and understanding the business processes
• Experience implementing ERP systems and running ERP post-implementation
• Experience leading projects and stakeholder/vendor communication/management
• Ability to commute to Oshawa location 2-3 times a week

Bonus Items:

• Lumber/building industry / ERP experience
• ContractERP or MS Dynamics D365 ERP or Sage
• Experience managing small IT departments

Salary Range

$90,000-120,000/year
