 About the Opportunity
Team Member Focus

• Develop and manage performance of the Financial Reporting & Tax team
• Focus on continuous improvement to develop tools to support timely execution of operational imperatives
• Develop relationships with other working groups in and outside of Finance to achieve objectives

Financial Reporting

• Review and manage the consolidation process in accordance with IFRS, including elimination entries.
• Provide and oversee the implementation of innovative ideas to streamline month end closing
• Prepare and review schedules and analyses and provide support for financial audits
• Prepare and review accounting for special transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and windups, including journal entries and support for external auditors.
• Manage the annual audit process to ensure milestones are completed on time.
• Drive the financial reporting process by preparing the financial statement notes and related working papers on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure the maintenance of effective internal controls and processes

Taxation

• Liaise with external tax advisors to manage tax compliance and tax planning initiatives
• Oversee the preparation of GST/HST, partnership and corporate tax returns
• Prepare quarterly tax updates for the audit committee
• Manage the improvements and standardization of tax reporting and file maintenance

Special Projects

• Drive system implementations as applicable

About You

• CPA designation
• Manager level CPA with 5 years of experience, including public accounting and industry.
• Strong technical accounting experience with IFRS
• Demonstrated team leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and coach
• Advanced Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets
• Experience using Yardi, OneStream, and similar industry an asset

Salary Range
Up to $140,000/ year
