Senior Finance Manager - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

Client is looking for a Senior Finance Manager/Controller for a contract period of 6 months.

About the Opportunity

• Lead, manage, support and motivate a team of three (2 Senior Accountants and 1 Payroll)
• Working very closely with the US-based Corporate Finance team and other internal stakeholders
• Prepare NR4 calculations and submit filings
• Prepare and execute Intercompany settlements
• Perform Treasury/Banking administrator roles and responsibilities
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial results for all entities to Director of Finance
• Review and approve payroll and related journal entries and reconciliations
• Review, approve and post other journal entries and reconciliations
• Drive, lead and manage a payroll integration project
• Drive, contribute and manage the improvement of existing non-CDN financial transactions and related processes
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with global internal control environment
• Ensure all Canadian and non-CDN financial information is appropriate for use in consolidated financial statements / package to the US

About You

• CPA  designation  (CPA, CA  preferred)
• 5-7 years post qualification experience and managerial experience
• ASPE and US GAAP
• Prior working experience in a medium to large audit firm will be an asset
• Experience implementing SOX controls and working in a SOX environment
• Proven experience as Senior Finance Manager/Controller or similar role
• Possess strong project management, process improvement and communication skills
• Oracle, Coupa (Procurement System), Hyperion, Advanced Excel, ADP will be desirable or similar size/system systems
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability. Big picture and detail oriented
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Ability to get up to speed in a very short time frame and figuring things out, work under pressure and multitask

Pay Rate

$50/hour
