Senior Accountant

About the Company
Our Client is a Toronto based medical device company. This company has revolutionized the way in which brain surgery is conducted and is currently disrupting the space in which it operates. 

About the Opportunity  

• Play a leading role in the preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial statements
• Coordinate with auditors for timely completion of the annual audit
• Develop and document accounting policies and accounting positions on significant transactions
• Assist with the development of internal controls
• Execute month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, revenue recognition and reconciliations
• Perform variance analysis versus department and project budgets
• Calculate and book transfer pricing transactions
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Ensure compliance with timely filing of returns and remittance of Excise taxes, GST/HST etc., as well as Canadian and U.S. federal and state income taxes
• Other duties as required

About You

• 4+ years audit/accounting experience, with a minimum of two years of audit experience at a “Big Four” firm
• Must possess CPA designation
• Experience with financial accounting and internal controls
• Experience with accounting research and policies
• Experience with multi-national consolidations
• Strong computer skills, particularly proficient with Excel
• Self-motivated and self-managing
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a highly-technical, fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Salary Range
$85,000-$95,000/year
