Payroll Coordinator - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Perform biweekly payroll
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports and timesheets
  • Prepare General Ledger entries, accrual entries and adjusting entries for payroll
  • Prepare monthly payroll remittance such as union dues, Pension contribution, and taxable benefits
  • Regularly monitor vacation balances and sick time administration for all employees through ADP system
  • Manage and organize current and former employee personal files including employment agreements and internal correspondence
  • Prepare record of employment as required
  • Issue and review T4 slips on an annual basis
  • Work with external auditors on year end payroll audits
  • Respond to employee’s payroll questions, issues and concerns
  • Run payroll time related reports for various department needs
  • Review and reconcile Employer health tax on a monthly basis
  • Perform annual reconciliation
  • Perform annual Pension plan and WSIB premium filing and reconciliation
  • Prepare General Ledger entries, accrual entries and adjusting entries
  • Book employee expense claims by journal entries

About You

  • Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, T4 compliance, and general payroll
  • 1-2 years experience working in a similar role
  • Experience with ADP WorkForceNow
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience with MS Dynamics is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office

Pay Rate

$24 - $25/hour
