About the Opportunity

  • Payroll and time and attendance processing for approximately 850 hourly and salaried employees
  • Provide guidance to the Senior Manager - Human Resources and lead ADP Workforce Now payroll implementation
  • Ensure payroll, benefits and Group Retirement Savings Plan are integrated with an audit process being performed, to ensure that the payroll and third-party carriers information balances
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, HR representatives, Canada Revenue Agency, Service Canada, etc. regarding payroll and benefits
  • Consult with all levels of employees providing guidance and assistance on their payroll and benefits issues
  • Liaison with Human Resources, employees, supervisors, government agencies, internal and external auditors
  • Research and interpret payroll legislation, tax laws and ensure government reporting compliance (EHT, CPP, EI, WSIB/WCB, taxable benefits)

About You

  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Completion of Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP) or higher
  • 3-5 years of related payroll experience within a large or mid-sized company
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills (v-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Experience implementing a new payroll system and managing projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Pay Rate

$60,000 - $70,000/hour
