Network Specialist / System Administrator - 12 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Our client is looking for a Network Specialist/System Administrator to provide critical network & IT security support across their offices located within the GTA
• Delivery of managed LAN, WAN, Firewalls, wireless LAN, data centers, load balancer & WAN optimization
• Provide troubleshooting and configuration management of networked equipment
• Identify and analyze the root cause of performance breakdowns and recommend solutions
• Capacity & performance management, network trouble analysis & repair and network upgrades & enhancements
• Network authentication & Security (ACE, IPSec, Key Management, RADIUS, TACACS+)
• Cisco switches
• VPN technology (IPSec, Key Management, Client, Site-to-site, & remote access solutions)
• Monitoring of the network using industry recognized monitoring tools (SNMP)
• FortiGate firewalls experience is preferred
• Mobile device management experience is preferred (Cisco Meraki or equivalent)
• Experience with RAPID7 vulnerability assessment is preferred
• Knowledge of Automox software patching solutions is preferred
• Synchronous and asynchronous encryption experience is preferred

About You

• 5+ years of IT server/network of strong troubleshooting and support experience
• University Degree or College Diploma with Information Technology or a related field of study
• Once of the following certifications will be highly desirable: MCSA, MCSE, CCNA or Security+
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
• Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
• Quick-learner, flexible, and highly adaptive to changing demands and circumstances
