JDE Financial Systems Administration Consultant - 6-9 Months to Perm (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Provide support on the development, implementation and administration of new features in JD Edwards (Business unit structuring, inter-company & JV modules, bank reconciliation automation and other projects, as assigned)
  • Oversee system performance, identify system issues and be the lead point of contact with the IT Solutions Group to troubleshoot technical issues. Ensure all financial systems and processes are integrated seamlessly
  • Act as a liaison between functional teams in accounting and the IT Solutions Group for the purpose of identifying, prioritizing, planning system enhancements and upgrades, and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Research, actualize, and maintain policies and procedures to coordinate and manage the use of master files, index codes, roles, data control, and reporting to improve data integrity and record keeping in the ERP system
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of integrity reports to assure that business units, chart of accounts, index codes and other critical fields maintain accuracy as changes are made to attributes and relations
  • Organize training and promote the use and education of users of JDE across the organization on ERP best practices
  • Develop and apply tools and reports to monitor compliance with established best practices
  • Perform systems maintenance tasks, including various setups, data table updates, creation and adjustments to custom computations and accounting instructions, and run and troubleshoot validation reports
  • Serve as the lead point of contact with the IT Solutions Group Support other departments, as required

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Computer Science
  • Proven experience administering ERP systems for large, capital intensive, public organizations.
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes
  • JDE experience is required, experience using OVR is an asset
  • Experience with consolidation software with multi-dimensional databases is preferred (Hyperion, OneStream)
  • Experience implementing new financial software and delivering systems upgrades
  • Experience with TSX listed public companies preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and technically familiar with SQL, report building (Power BI, within JDE)
  • Excellent project or change management skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to communicate high level issues in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team, with minimal supervision
  • Proactive and self-motivated with experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others and develop cooperative working relationships

Pay Rate

$80/hour
