About the Opportunity

  • Compile, prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly, hourly, salaried, and union payrolls
  • Ensure integrity, consistency, and reliability by inputting data accurately and completely
  • Process new hires, terminations, changes to pay and any other related information
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of confidentiality relative to personal data, salary data and associate benefits information
  • Provide timely response to inquiries from HR, Accounting, managers, employees, government, and other third-party agencies, utilizing knowledge and interpretation of policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Issue ROEs and respond to payroll and/or benefits related enquiries
  • Process benefits, RRSP/DPSP enrolments and benefits terminations; submit information to related third parties
  • Archiving boxes, labeling, recording, filing, etc
  • Updating, maintaining, printing SOP’s, Safety Process Documents, record training hours, evaluations, certification renewals, etc
  • Organizing folders/cabinets, PPE’s, Employee tools, etc
  • Assisting in daily activities, training & programs

About You

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a unionized and manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with ability to articulate with accuracy and detail
  • Detail-oriented and good time management skills
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, ESA
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to take initiative, make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, develop creative solutions and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, Share Point an Asset
  • CHRP, PCP and CPA as asset

Salary

$50,000/year
