About the Opportunity

  • Prepare, maintain and distribute the consolidated key indicator files and analyze variance explanations from each of the reporting regions
  • Prepare the monthly Occupancy Analysis report and obtain variance explanations from the reporting regions
  • Prepare consolidated reports for Property Accounting for their quarterly internal presentations to senior management
  • Prepare various other internal management reporting, including Portfolio Asset Listing, hedge rebalancing entries, etc
  • Assist in preparing quarterly forecasts and the annual budget
  • Prepare daily journal entries for cash transactions
  • Prepare all monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries and supporting documentation for various corporate legal entities, including analysis of final posted balances
  • Prepare quarterly audit packages for various corporate legal entities including periodic reconciliation of general ledger account balances
  • Prepare wires and EFT’s for various corporate payments and obtain appropriate approvals
  • Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations and investigation of reconciling items for various legal entities
  • Preparation of monthly GST/HST/QST analysis and filings
  • Monitor bank balances and preparation of cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds to meet operational and development funding requirements
  • Prepare step memos, solvency tests, trust unit calculations and other documentation necessary to support contributions and distributions for various legal entities

About You

  • CPA In Progress
  • 2+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience including FP&A experience
  • Experience working in an accounting role within the real estate, preparing financial statements and consolidations
  • Strong communication skills and proven analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills

Salary

$60,000 - $65,000/year
