About the Opportunity
  • Financial Reporting Requirements annually & monthly
    • Lead the preparation of annual operating budgets, financial business plans and forecasts.
    • Monitor variances to plan and determine actions needed
    • Contribute to improved decision making by identifying trends and conducting financial analyses of the organization’s various operations.
    • Prepare cash flow analysis and make recommendations regarding cash management
  • Other regulatory requirements
    • Assist with compliance of statutory requirements.
    • Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors
    • Assist with pension plan management including plan administration and preparation of annual audited pension plan financial statements
    • Assist with ad hoc audits as may be required from time to time by any of our funders
    • Assist in the financial reporting to program funders as required (United Way etc.)
  • Safeguard Assets
    • Monitor internal financial controls and processes to ensure full protection of the organization’s assets
    • Participate in the preparation of Ad hoc Analysis as needed
    • Ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required to support RFPs as well as program decision making etc.
    • Partner with client services and other support areas to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
About You
  • CPA with minimum 5 years of progressive FP&A experience
  • Strong hands-on accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
  • Drives a culture of exceptional customer service
  • Superior Excel skills and strong aptitude for systems.
  • Proven ability to “roll up sleeves” while maintaining a “big picture” perspective.
  • Calm and confident manager who demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively at different organizational levels; Ability to establish and balance strong business relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable doing presentations to various internal and external audiences
  • Ability to act as “change agent”, helping staff and others set and achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate operating results and understand their financial and organizational impact.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and co-ordinate activities and manage workload through to successful conclusion.
  • High degree of energy and commitment; collaborative decision-making style; takes an organized and structured approach.
Salary
$110000/year
