About the Opportunity

  • Financial and Data Management
    • Establishes action plans and daily/weekly/monthly reporting processes and presentations to ensure visibility and delivery of results (Accountability - Results Focus)
    • Management chart of GL accounts. Open, outline/oversee usage parameters, and deactivate GL accounts. Ensure proper accounting procedure set up and account description properly conveys GL account usage (Financial – Accounts)
    • Analyzes results against budget and prepares commentary on variances (Budget Analysis)
    • Support and coordinate month-end and year-end close process (Business Analysis - Month & Year-end reporting)
    • Administers monthly close process and the preparation of internal and external financial reports, audited financial statements, and other analyses/financial management reports in a timely and detailed manner (Business Analysis - month end reporting)
    • Develop standard and compliance-related policies and processes where necessary and implement them in partnership with Managers. Ensure compliance through oversight and auditing (Compliance - Policy Development and Implementation)
    • Responsible for external reporting to lenders including monthly/annual covenant compliance, debt schedules and adherence to the credit agreement (External Financial Reporting)
    • Oversee the accounts payable to ensure timing of payments meets due dates and cash flow availability, and manages banking relationships (Financial - Cash Flow Oversight)
    • Establish and implement internal controls and policies while ensuring compliance with all external standards and legislative requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising necessary parties on needed actions (Internal Controls and Regulatory Compliance)
    • Proactively monitor working capital availability and cash flow, providing analysis and visibility to senior leadership (Internal Financial Reporting)
    • Oversee the centralized payroll process ensuring timely preparation and execution of payroll process for Hourly and Salaried pay, as well as calculates monthly bonuses and commissions and post payroll journal entries (Payroll Administration)
    • Responsible for vendor management and coordination of payment terms (Vendor Management)
  • Improvement & Innovation
    • In partnership with business SMEs, acquire, connect, manage, and analyze various data sources to develop intelligence reports, analytics, sharing business recommendations (Business Analysis – recommendations)
    • Take the initiative to improve systems, policies, revenue opportunities, cost-cutting strategies etc. (Financial – improvement)
    • Develops, maintains, and ensures that the systems, tools, and processes specific to departments are in place to optimize output and support users (Functional Optimization)
    • Research industry trends and advancements for review and adoption (Program Creative)
    • Evaluates financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control function to the senior leadership team. Manages project implementation and execution of such initiatives. (Strategy & Implementation)

    • Develops an in-depth understanding of club operations and key functions across all departments to improve processes and services while driving total club revenue and/or overall profitability of the business (Club Operations - Mgmt.)
    • Communicates effectively and professionally with the community and external stakeholders, understanding business needs while providing timely solutions and support. Where applicable, develops and maintains effective working relationships in collaboration with all involved on projects, promotions, and priorities (Communication - Relationship Building)
    • Creates a positive and healthy work environment that provides coaching and mentorship to team members to foster their success and skills development. Promotes a corporate culture of continuous improvement and accountability (Leadership - Coach and Support)
    • Work calmly and systematically under stressful situations. Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines (Professionalism)
    • Builds positive, collaborative business relationships between the organization and its shareholders, board of directors, and external auditors (Relationship Management)
    • Ensure meeting all response time SLAs with internal stakeholders (Support - Service Levels)
    • Develops scalable, repeatable, and effective SOP and training materials, systems, and tools for the department (Training - SOP & Materials)

About You

  • CPA
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience, including 3 years + within a management capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cost management techniques, financial modeling, financial control, financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Mastery of using Excel and PowerPoint for complex business/decision analysis and planning
  • Experience with payroll management systems preferably UKG

Salary Range

$135,000 - $150,000/year
