About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, IT
-
The purpose of this role is to help maintain, repair and upgrade various network and end-user computer systems and will work directly with Sprott IT staff to provide technical and desktop support to local and remote users across the company’s enterprise infrastructure

Desktop and IT support will focus on all Sprott offices
-
This role will also be responsible for end-user experience while using and interacting with our various systems. 70 users, 5-20 tickets a day

Responsibilities include: (Not Limited to)

Maintaining, patching, and life cycle management of all laptops and desktops

Building and deploying new machines

Maintaining quick response times to various issues reported by end-users and vendors

Creating and maintaining disk images for deployment of desktops and laptops
-
Assisting IT with troubleshooting network level and back-end systems when needed

Upgrades, patches and installation of new applications and equipment when required

Assisting with general networking, patching, backups, data center integration, Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print servers, SQL servers

Experience/familiarity with cyber security best practices, firewalls, LAN switch stack maintenance and configuration, VPN security and setup
About You

Experience 4-5 years as Level 1, 2 and 2.5 IT support, preferably coming in from smaller orgs, smaller teams

Experienced in maintaining, patching, and life cycle management of all laptops and desktops

Experienced in building and deploying new machines, troubleshooting end user issues as they arise
-
Experience creating disk images for deployment of desktops and laptops

Experienced in upgrades, patches and installation of new applications and equipment
-
Knowledge/Familiarity with general networking, patching, backups, data center integration, Active Directory, Exchange, File and Print servers, SQL servers

Knowledge/Familiarity cyber security best practices, firewalls, LAN switch stack maintenance and configuration, VPN security and setup
Bonus Items

Previous Information Technology support experience in the financial services industry

University education, preferably with an IT focused degree
-
Experience working with vendors
-
Basic IT project planning
-
Experienced in maintaining inventory of desktops, laptops, phones, consumables, and other peripherals
Salary Range
$70,000 - 90,000/year (Based on experience and fit)
