About the Company

Our client is a US Headquartered $300 million, private equity owned company with a significant presence in Canada. They are planning to grow their business via 6-8 acquisitions per year over the next several years. This role will focus on building the finance infrastructure in Canada to prepare for the growth and to establish systems, processes, controls and reporting for these companies.

About the Opportunity  

The Controller’s core responsibilities include daily management of the Company's accounting, monthly close, internal and external financial reporting, business process controls, treasury, accounts payable, and credit and collections, budgeting, and forecasting. This Controller role is the lead finance person at the Canadian subsidiary, which is the hub for the company’s Canadian operations and is expected to continue growing.

In addition to the core responsibilities this role will also manage the annual external audit and all monthly management and corporate reporting requirements as well as any statutory reporting and compliance requirements. Acquisition support and integration planning and implementation will also be critical to success with one integration currently in the planning stage to be completed before year end and other acquisitions a possibility to continue to drive growth. Budgeting and forecasting, including cash forecasting, and working capital management will also be led by the Controller.

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• Public accounting firm experience
• A few years of progressive industry experience
• US GAAP is a nice to have

Salary Range
$110,000 - $120,000/year
