About the Company

Our client is a leading global commodity trading and export organization and they are looking for a high performing accounting professional with a strong background in full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation. As the Controller, you will be reporting into the President of the company and will be responsible for leading the accounting and finance function.

About the Opportunity

• Ownership of accounting records for one operating company along with three holding companies
• Responsible for the Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Engage in various financial reports to the President of the company and other stakeholders
• Produce monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet analysis for stakeholders
• Provide weekly inventory report and reconciliation
• Prepare weekly Accounts Receivable report along with EDC associated customers
• Prepare payroll and issue withholding tax (CPP, EI) to CRA
• Issue T4s and T5s including the preparation of the EHT calculation
• Perform bank reconciliation for 4 different currencies and analyze cash positions on a regular basis including exposure to FX
• Prepare T5 return for the affiliated holding companies

About You

• CPA at the Accounting Manager or Controller level
• Tangible goods industry
• Full cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, and payroll experience
• Experience with Quickbooks an asset
• People management experience an asset
• Experience working with Foreign Currency an asset

Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000/year
