• Process/input both weekly and semi-monthly payroll for salary, union and non-union divisions (100+ employees)
• Ensure payroll is processed, reported and paid in compliance with all provincial and Federal tax and labour laws
• Provide timely payroll data for full project job costing to support project and billing teams
• Manage and process all year-end payroll requirements in compliance with all provincial and federal tax and labour laws, including but not limited to (T4, RL-1, EHT, WSIB, Union, CNSST)
• Assist with any internal/external audits effectively ensuring any issues are reported and addressed where applicable
• Maintain and reconcile monthly payroll and intercompany allocations
• Field any staff payroll inquiries through HR manager and provide timely information as required
• Prepare government filings to include, but not limited to; ETD, EHT, WSIB, CNESST, and ROE per the respective reporting timelines
• Prepare monthly Union remittances report
• Process employee expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies
• Provide ad-hoc reports as requested by Controller and/or Director of Finance

About You

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience

• Experience with both Ontario and Quebec payroll legislation
• Office Based- must be comfortable work in-office
• Excellent command of the English language both oral and written
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately handle payroll transactions and to prioritize workload, analytics and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of job cost allocations as it relates to payroll
• Knowledge of provincial and federal employment standards and HR policies; experience in applying standards and policies to payroll and time and attendance applications
• Experience working with Viewpoint, Concur and Bamboo HR would be an asset
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset
• Experience Processing Unionized payroll would be an asset

Salary Range

$60,000 - $65,000/year
