- Maintain and assist in developing case costing database, database structures and tables in compliance with OCC and OHRS standards
- Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders by collating data for the OCC database and ensure the quality and timeliness of submission
- Understand the data flow processes and conduct cost analyses of patient care data
- Review and reconcile utilization and clinical data by performing data quality review on case costing data using Affinity Decision Support System
- Develop or refine reporting processes to integrate financial, statistical and clinical data efficiently into the case costing system
- Support the routine tasks of monthly and quarterly statistical reporting to meet the business and clinical needs of the organization
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
- Undergraduate degree in business, health informatics, computer sciences or related field
- Canadian CPA or expected completion of Ontario CPA within 4 years
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or health care case costing, including experiences on various financial and statistical analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft level and other data analytical tools with strong data analytical and management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Access
- Hands-on knowledge of computerized accounting systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, methodologies and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn new software applications quickly and meet conflicting deadlines
- Ability to work independently as part of the team
- Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
- An employee’s disciplinary record will be reviewed as part of the assessment of qualifications
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the centre’s core values
- Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors
