Accounts Payable Manager (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to Company guidelines
• Take corrective action to resolve Accounts Payable KPI variances
• Monitor and ensure Accounts Payable service level agreements for invoice processing and payment are supported and adhered to
• Ensure the Accounts Payable payment processes have proper controls in place to manage risk
• Develop and make recommendations on the modification and revision of standards & processing related to Accounts Payable
• Resolve Accounts Payable issues raised by direct reports and others
• Ensure that performance reviews are prepared and delivered annually and establish individual annual objectives, measures and performance manage direct report(s) and department
• Manage monthly closing of accounts payable records and posting of month end information
• Provide guidance and support to internal customers with regards to Accounts Payable activities
• Hire, train and evaluate employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product
• Address performance issues when needed
• Prepare month-end close for Accounts Payable
• Back-up to Supervisors for Cheque runs
• Assist in annual audits
• Adhere to corporate health and safety policy requirements that contribute to a safe workplace

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisory role managing a staff of 15
• Experience working with accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of the retail industry an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Salary

$75,000 - $85,000/year
