About the Opportunity
Accounts Payable (65%):
- Code and process payment requests, vendor invoices, employee reimbursements and corporate credit card statements in Accpac Accounts Payable; Ensure appropriate approval
- Maintain and/or develop various excel files to support accounts payable processes
- Perform cheque runs as per Accounts Payable cheque run schedule and generate EFT files to the bank and process wire transfer payments
- Respond to accounts payable enquiries from vendors/suppliers/staff on invoice and/or payment status
- Maintain accurate vendor records
- Responsible for filing, archiving and retrieving all accounts payable files and provide photocopies of all necessary invoices, as required by others and special projects (i.e. Audits)
Cash Management (10%):
- Daily cash settlement with other fund companies (for trades, dilutions, trailer fees and sales commissions) through Fundserv
- Generate and export daily bank statements for all bank accounts from TD web business banking site
- Download bill payment reports, EFT returns and reconcile banking activities on the bank statements
- Compile information for and prepare invoice for management fee expenses to the funds monthly
- Calculate and prepare withholding taxes for monthly remittance to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Internal Reporting and Expense Analysis (10%):
- Monthly reconcile the financial and unit transactions of proprietary funds between RPM and Custodian
- Prepare general journal entries, period-end accrual journal entries and balance sheet schedules for Accpac
About You
- University grad with accounting studies
- Intermediate level in CPA program
- 1 to 2 years of corporate accounting and accounts payable experience preferably in a financial institution
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Working experience in financial applications such as Accpac, unitholder systems such as RPM and web based banking applications would be an asset
- Demonstrates an eagerness and desire to continue to grow personally and professionally that is evident in on-going activities through utilization of self-learning initiatives and mediums.

Salary
$45,000 - $47,000/year
