About the Opportunity 

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process by analyzing trends and variances including comparing and correcting data to reconcile transactions 
• Monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections 
• Conduct planning exercises, such as forecasting, budgets, analysis, and reporting 
• Develop financial models using modern data visualization tools to accurately project business results, variances and identify trends and potential risks 
• Develop forecast models based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements as the business grows 
• Assist in developing business cases to support material financial decisions 
• Recommend innovative ideas and procedures for improved financial management 
• Develop and maintain confidential, protected databases that provide managers with insights into risks and opportunities within their respective business units 
• Coordinate requirements for efficient, automated accounting processes to increase productivity 
• Uphold standards through consolidation of reporting packages and thorough internal analysis of financial data 
• Assist with special software project implementations where financial systems integration is required 

About You 

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance or accounting, CPA (or in progress) preferred 
• 5+ years’ experience in Finance, at least two of which are as a Senior Financial Analyst 
• Proficiency in the use of standard business software and capabilities in MS Excel and 
• MS Office (Power BI is an asset) 
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standards, project costing methods, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting 

Salary Range 

$80,000 - $90,000/year
