Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

Our client is an oiling and mining company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. This position completes the month-end consolidation process and prepares the external financial statements, MD&A and accompanying internal Board reporting and other internal financial, operational and safety reporting to senior executives and the Board of Directors

About the Opportunity 

• External Financial and MD&A Reporting, Internal Reporting, Analysis & Consolidation 
• Complete the month-end consolidation process, including journal entry and statement of cash flow preparation and the quarterly share-based compensation accruals; 
• Assist in timely preparation of the Corporation’s consolidated financial statements and disclosures and MD&A in compliance with the Corporation’s accounting policies, IFRS and regulatory bodies; 
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information within continuous disclosure documents, such as the Annual Report and Annual Information Form. 
• Assist in timely preparation of the Corporation’s monthly and quarterly internal financial, operational and safety reporting to senior executives and the Board of Directors to enhance organizational decision-making; 
• Coordinate with, advise and monitor the Corporation’s Business Units and functional areas to ensure deliverables required to successfully complete the above accountabilities are received on time and are accurate and complete; 
• Assist in issue resolution relating to external financial reporting and internal reporting proactively and reactively to ensure the above accountabilities are completed; 
• Develop, recommend and implement enhancements to reporting and analysis, disclosure documents and disclosure controls and procedures impacting the financial statements, notes, and MD&A, through continuous improvement, benchmarking against the Corporation’s peers, and responding to specific requests for additional analysis from the Corporation’s stakeholder 

About You 

• CPA, CA  
• 3+ year Public Accounting expeirence 
• Strong IFRS exposure   

Salary Range 

$95,000 - $105,000/year
