Our client is a publicly listed natural resources company and they are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the accounting, management reporting and financial reporting activities for various exploration entities and will have exposure with special project related activities

About the Opportunity

• Assist in the research, analysis, documentation and implementation of complex accounting matters and new accounting standards and policies.
• Knowledge of and ability to navigate through IFRS in order to perform variety of research as necessary.
• Document analysis, findings and conclusion on ideal accounting outcomes.
• Liaise with external auditors to discuss analysis and address comments.
• Ensure companywide SOX controls compliance, and implement new controls as needed.
• Perform analysis to ensure sufficiency, consistency and appropriateness of SOX controls and environment.
• Close in a timely and accurate manner the ledgers for certain entities in accordance with the consolidation calendar.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management reports for EVP, Growth, the corporate department and operational sites.

About You

• CPA
• 5+ years’ working experience in a finance organization or Big 4 Accounting Firm.
• Experience working in a public company environment.
• Experience in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment, within a large multi-national organization, preferably capital intensive

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000/year
