Our client is a large and established investment manager and they are looking for a Senior Associate, Corporate Finance who will play an import role in supporting the team with accounting and reporting both internally and externally.

About the Opportunity

• Support the team by ensuring that accounting records are accurate, complete, and timely
• Perform daily accounting tasks, including summary of significant cash activity, preparing and entering journal entries, banking wires and CITs, coding invoices, and expense allocations
• Monthly CAD and USD bank reconciliations and payroll account reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly intercompany, third party and employee billings
• Recording quarterly accruals and corresponding reversing entries
• Manage corporate credit card payments, accounting, and reconciliations
• Treasury functions including FX trades and money market investments 
• NCIB repurchases including tracking repurchase details, recording entries, and form 14B regulatory requirements
• Maintenance of the account dictionary including addressing requests to add new accounts, sub account 1 and 2 as well as updating the excel workbook to reflect these changes
• Prepare quarter end reporting packages including lead sheets, working papers and variance analysis to support consolidated public financial reporting         
• Assist Financial Reporting team with public financial statement notes and MD&A preparation
• Support the completion of various projects within the Corporate Finance team
• Ad hoc tasks as required

About You

• CPA designation or very close to completion (final exam passed)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate/ full cycle accounting role
• Experience in Asset Management or related industry an asset
• Treasury skillset a good to have
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Salary Range

$85,000 - $95,000/year
