About the Opportunity

Manage the monthly corporate general ledger close and monthly group reporting
Prepare and review various variance analyses for the corporate office and group reporting
Prepare and review month-end and quarter-end closing deadlines and communicate to corporate accounting team and all operations
Prepare complex corporate accounting schedules including investment portfolio, derivative transactions, long-term debt, stock-based compensation, etc.
Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting package templates
Prepare certain quarterly financial statement note disclosures
Prepare annual ESTMA report
Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting for corporate financial results
Drive continuous improvement in corporate accounting and reporting
Assist in ad-hoc projects as requested

About You

University degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration and/or Finance
A recognized accounting designation
A minimum of 5 years of related experience either in industry or a public accounting firm, preferably in the mining industry
Experience in communication with management and stakeholders across functions, divisions and geographic regions
Technical competence in Accounting and Reporting, with proven track record in complex accounting, analytical review and financial reporting
Superior knowledge in IFRS
Advanced Excel skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
A pro-active, motivated, flexible and team-orientated personality, with the ability to work under pressure

Pay Rate

$55/hour
