Java Developer - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Work with the business unit leaders and stakeholders to gather business requirements, create technical development documentation, produce high quality design solutions, and coordinate the development with your internal clients
• Design, develop, and maintain the legacy applications and all design components.
• Manage the build, deploy and integration of the web-based application
• Develop and maintain enterprise information in the organizations Oracle database which will be used for future development so attention to detail is critical
• Maintain proficiency in both Windows and UNIX operating system environments while ensuring continuous learning and upgrading of skills
• Ensure that regular communication and status reporting to management is provided and all requirements are followed up on

About You

• Degree/Diploma in related field of study
• 5+ years of experience in Web Based Java Development and J2EE
• 5+ years’ experience development using object-oriented programming principles and practices.
• Experience developing Single Page / application-based JavaScript sites
• EXTJS or equivalent JavaScript User interface framework is a strong nice to have or experience with Angular
• Experience developing in HTML, CSS, CVS, JS, Oracle, WebSphere, JPA and Eclipse Link
• Experience using restful services and integration with 3rd party vendors using web services and/or MQ.
• Strong experience in object-oriented design, analysis and programming using design patterns, use cases, and iterative development process
• Able to articulate your experience in working with the business and stakeholders to gather requirements and turn those requirements into development specs
• Engaging, articulate, positive and self motivated
• superior communication skills, both written and verbal
