About the Company

Our client is medical illustration firm, headquartered in Toronto, and they are looking to hire a Full-Time IT Support Specialist to join their team.

About the Opportunity

• The IT Support Specialist will assist with the hardware and software onboarding of new employees
• This includes creating IT onboarding documentation and respond to day-to-day user troubleshooting requests
• The role is a mixture of remote and onsite (the workforce is primarily remote, but there is occasional onsite work, and those users will need to be supported, as necessary, ie, WiFi, other deskside support issues). 

Primary Support Activities Include:

• Onboarding new staff (Setting up laptop, meeting the user to go through the software, ensure access for both office and home location)
• Basic hardware troubleshooting, procurement of licenses for user SaaS products, rare account administration
• Google suite support, MDM (Mobile Device Management) adjustments, administration of different software packages (1Password, Adobe Acrobat, Slack, Zoom)
• Set up wifi, basic networking support (physical connectivity to server room, know what port a computer is connected to)
• Support Mac OS (80%) of environment, and Windows machines

About You

• College IT Diploma + 1 year of experience or 3-4 years support experience
• Solid knowledge of MacOS and Windows, able to troubleshoot common issues, basic user support
• Understanding of MDM (Mobile Device Management)
• Can support Google Suite
• Basic networking support, can support WiFi environment, understands concepts of DNS, DHCP, VLAN
• Previous SaaS startup experience would be considered and asset
• Hands on experience with MDM, G Suite considered and asset 

Salary

75,000/year
