Investment Accountant (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Perform and in Monitor new monies transferring in or out, cheque deposits and/ or redemptions
• Deposit cheques as instructed to Client Trust and or other pooled funds/ managed accounts
• Maintain and reconcile Client Trust on a daily basis
• Process all cash transfers for internal funds, client redemptions, subscriptions and foreign exchanges as needed
• Liaise with Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM), Client Service staff and Fund Accounting regarding all pooled fund transactions
• Input and summarize transactions on a weekly and or monthly basis
• Set-up Regular withdrawals - re-occurring payments on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Review PTF’s and verify investment instructions, account numbers of cash and RRSP contributions
• Review and verify banking information for Capital calls and or PB’s
• Assist with cap stock reconciliation (inquiries) at the end of the month
• Maintain excellent working relationship with Custodians, CWM, Client Service staff and Fund Accounting.
• Post entries and comments in Asset Mix as needed
• Create summary reports of cash and investment activity
• Perform other sundry duties as assigned
• Provide back-up support to cash management team and receptionist if and when necessary

About You

• CPA or finance & accounting experience
• 2-5 years' experience in a similar role
• Data entry, accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Well organized and fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills, dealing with highly professional team
• Strong Excel and Access skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Works well as part of team and independently
• Able to take initiative and able to work in a deadline driven environment

Salary

$65,000/year
