General Accountant (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Perform month-end closing duties including general journal entries and general ledger account analysis/reconciliation
• Prepare month-end working papers and maintain account schedules
• Assist with preparing month-end financial statements
• Gather and validate reporting requirements from our various departments and systems
• Work with the FP&A Analyst on financial modeling budgets/forecasts
• Assist with treasury functions including bank/payment reconciliations
• Monthly GST/HST/PST reconciliation
• Prepare year-end audit working papers
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and other tasks as assigned

About You

• Minimum of 3 years of financial accounting/reporting experience
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or equivalent
• Professional accounting designation or working towards a professional accounting designation
• Proficient with the use of ERP systems and data mining/reporting tools
• Advanced knowledge of excel
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills
• Self-motivated, team player, results oriented

Salary

$65,000/year
