Front End Developer - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

Our client, located in Markham, is currently hiring an Intermediate Front End Developer to join there team on a 6 month contract with possible extension.

About the Opportunity

• Work on creating API's
• Create web page for user interaction
• Manipulate and Slice Photoshop files into website assets
• Create and develop HTML layouts
• Manipulate CMS elements to seamlessly blend in with the website
• Create Single Page Apps to provide high traffic booking engines
• Develop and support various front end applications for multiple systems
• Promote and maintain a high quality, professional, service-oriented company image among clients

About You

• A university Degree or Diploma with 2+ years of relevant working experience
• Strong experience with HTML, CSS 3, and JS/jQuery
• Experience working with a Content Management System like Wordpress
• 2+ years' experience with modern JS/CSS/HTML build/minification/deployment practices
• 2+ years' experience using a Single Page App framework
• Web accessibility principles
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop and image manipulation techniques
• Ability to understand and follow sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes
• User experience, and modern Design principles are strong nice to have
• Good team player
• Ability to manage one's personal tasks in a responsive and responsible manner
• A portfolio should be made available
