About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Sr Financial Analyst, the Financial Analyst (Corporate) also works closely with the Corporate Controller as well as the Client Finance team and CFO to support overall agency finance goals and objectives

• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the company's financial reporting structure Intacct and Media Ocean G/Ls, multiple entities and associated mappings to parent company consolidations and reporting environment Hyperion
• Prepare accurate entries and reconciliations of G/L accounts along with detailed supporting schedules as part of a timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process
• Special focus and emphasis on all intercompany transactions US, Canada, India, Singapore operations, as well as affiliated Stagwell agencies and Stagwell corporate entities
• Assist the Sr Financial Analyst, Corporate Controller, Client Finance Director and CFO in ensuring all period close deliverables and deadlines are met in accordance with corporate/parent company policies, including submitting financial statements, and preparing detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Review, investigate and correct transactions (system and manual postings) as needed
• Review employee T&E expense report submissions and account postings
• Co-ordinate and prioritize timely and effective responses to auditors’ (external and internal) requests
• Assist with annual budget and quarterly reforecast submissions
• Treasury and cash reporting support including daily/weekly bank reconciliations, reconciliations of the ZBA (zero balance accounts) with parent company
• Special focus on tracking cash flow and changes in working capital in coordination with A/R, A/P, media teams
• Co-ordinate responses to all external tax firm and parent company tax dept requests and queries (e.g. annual corporate tax filings for US and Canada entities
• Ad-Hoc reporting, including support, as needed, for forecasting, historical comparisons, and variance analysis
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting to parent company
• Other tasks and finance responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the growth and development of the agency and the position

About You

• University degree, 3 years+ prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
• Working knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS / SOX; practical experience with the application of ASC606 revenue recognition principles is a plus
• Ability to work independently and with others on the Finance team as well as rest of agency, always putting the customer (external and internal) first
• Ability to interact comfortably with all levels within the agency
• Must be MAC/PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting
• Experience working in an advertising or professional services firm is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines
• Experience and familiarity with ERP software solutions and various systems implementation and integrations
• Excellent working knowledge and proficiency on Excel
• Act in a strong, professional manner always maintaining the highest of ethical standards with agency employees, clients, and vendors
• Occasional overtime as required i.e., quarter-end & year-end reporting deadlines

Salary

$60,000 - $65,000/year
