Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Maintain SMA (Sales Margins Analysis) portal – analyze the profitability of sales deals to ensure closing margin is correctly accounted in each transaction
• Assist the Controller in all aspects related to the financial reporting and analysis function of the division
• Ongoing monitoring of data integrity and appropriate accounting process is carried out, to ensure overall financial presentation is reflective to business intention
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Review and complete SMA for all sales deals in all three regions
• Complete month-end P&L analysis to provide an overview of business performance
• Department expense variance analysis
• Prepare Month End entries as required e.g., allocations, accruals, provisions, adjustments
• Internal Financial Statements, reporting packages, supporting schedules preparation
• Assist in budget and reforecast preparation – gather financial data, discuss with business owners to establish budget basis, prepare budget templates
• On-going maintenance of budget/reforecast model to ensure it is reflective to actual operation
• Internal audits
• Ad-hoc financial analysis
• Procedures for new business initiatives
• System upgrades
• Accounting treatment changes

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Possess/working towards an Accounting professional designation
• 5+ years working experience in general accounting and financial information systems support
• Excellent PC skills (incl. MS Office)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Advanced experience working with fully integrated ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Knowledge of AS/400 applications, BPC and BI environment
• Logical Thinking
• Conceptual Thinking
• Quality Assurance
• Analytical Skills
• Strong communication skills – ability to listen, understand and interpret user requirements and the ability to teach/instruct in layman terms
• Concern for Impact

Salary

$65,000 - $70,000/year
