About the Opportunity

• Performed month-end system close process, and work with cross functional teams to resolve issues
• Responsible for reconciling intercompany transactions and maintaining continuity schedules
• Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting, including preparation of journal entries, General Ledger account reconciliations, and variance analytics on SG&A accounts
• Prepare information required and liaise with the external auditors for annual audits
• Work closely with the Finance team as well as the business units to ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
• Support Planning team in preparation of annual budget and forecast of SG&A accounts
• Document and maintain existing reporting procedures
• Identify areas of process improvement, in partnership with all relevant stakeholder groups on an ongoing basis
• Perform research of IFRS technical accounting position on related transactions when required
• Ad-hoc projects as required
• Provide direct assistance with drafting enterprise wide accounting policies, development of enterprise risk management processes and maintaining internal controls framework

About You

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Previous experience with ERP system is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong intermediate level computer knowledge, specifically in MS Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and time management
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work past scheduled hours due to deadlines, month or year-end requirements
• Knowledge of IFRS, Intercompany and other Balance Sheet reconciliations

Pay Rate

$30/hour
