About the Company  

Our client is a large technology company with excellent growth prospects both organically and through acquisition. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager will assist with managing a team of analysts, providing support to various Business units, and overseeing with financial reporting for monthly/ quarterly deliverables.

About the Opportunity 

  • Leadership : 

    • Manage a staff of 5 direct reports  
    • Lead the management, development and motivation of your team members individually and build an effective team overall  
    • Evaluate operational systems, address inefficiencies, and develop and recommend policies and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.  
    • Provide hands-on support to team when required   
  • Financial Reporting/ Analysis:  

    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial reports including management reporting & analysis and reporting to the parent company  
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and ad hoc analysis as required.  
    • Assist with the preparation of year-end working papers for Accounting and Tax audit  
    • Review account reconciliations  
    • Ensure compliance of accounting policies with IFRS  
    • Liaise with the various Business Unit Managers to provide support as required  
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time   
  • Acquisitions:  

    • Assist in preparation of Purchase Price Accounting (PPA) for new acquisitions.  
    • Review acquisition audits of new businesses  
    • Late stage acquisition support to the M&A team relating to accounting policies and business integrations (system, accounts, billing, accounts payable etc.) 

About You 

  • CPA, CMA, CGA, CA 
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience, industry related experience would be an asset 
  • 2 + years’ experience managing finance/accounting staff. 
  • Strong fundamental accounting knowledge (Full cycle experience is an asset) 
  • Intermediate skills and experience in MS Office Excel  

Salary Range 

$105,000 to $115,000/year
