About the Opportunity

Post and review recurring journal entries
Prepare month end reconciliations
Prepare monthly department reports
Establish assets and cost centres and vendors in SAP as needed
Perform detailed financial analysis
Identify largest inventory / material cost variances for other team members to follow-up
Manage the internal and external auditors
Liaison with leadership team and assist with budgeting and forecasting
Assist with financial reporting
Review payroll and act as payroll backup
Collaborate with accounting team and resolve issues
Other duties as assigned

About You

CPA designation
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in mining industry/or a similarly complex environment/sector
Hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
Payroll experience
SAP and advanced Excel
Collaborates with peers and corporate staff, as necessary, in the support of financial management and advancement of business initiatives
The candidate will be an energetic, strategic thinker with the ability to see beyond the numbers and has a strong attention to detail
A relationship builder and communicator with strong analytical and decision-making skills coupled with technical capability
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong orientation to staff and team growth and development
Ability to create a collaborative multidisciplinary working environment which fosters high morale and effective staff relationships and participation

Pay Rate
$50/hour
